1. WHO WE ARE
GoFundzy ("we", "us", "our") is an online platform that lets organisers run vote-based fundraising campaigns and lets admin-verified organisations receive ongoing donations. GoFundzy is operated in New Zealand.
2. TWO TYPES OF FUNDRAISING ON THIS PLATFORM
Campaigns: an organiser creates a campaign with one or more participants. Supporters purchase vote packages to support a participant. Campaigns have a start and end date set by the organiser.
Organisations: schools, sports clubs, non-profits and community groups added by our team. Supporters make a direct donation with no vote mechanic and no closing date.
3. FEES
A service fee applies to campaign vote-package purchases, shown at checkout before payment. Funds raised for a campaign or organisation may be subject to a platform fee deducted before payout to the organiser/organisation, as disclosed to that organiser or organisation. Payment processing fees charged by Stripe apply in addition where stated.
4. PAYMENTS
All card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Once a payment is completed you will receive an emailed receipt.
5. REFUNDS
Vote package purchases and donations are generally non-refundable, except where required by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986, or at our discretion in cases of error, fraud, or a cancelled campaign. Contact us to request a refund.
6. ORGANISER RESPONSIBILITIES
Organisers are responsible for the accuracy of their campaign content and for using funds raised as described on their campaign page. GoFundzy may suspend or remove a campaign that appears fraudulent, misleading, or in breach of these terms, including in response to a user report.
7. PROHIBITED USE
You must not use this platform to raise funds for an unlawful purpose, to mislead supporters about how funds will be used, or to attempt to manipulate voting or payment systems.
8. LIABILITY
GoFundzy provides a platform connecting organisers, organisations and supporters. We do not guarantee that any campaign will reach its goal, and we are not responsible for how an organiser or organisation uses funds raised, beyond the fee arrangements disclosed on this platform.
9. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
